Tribute to Ennio Morricone

"Omaggio a Morricone" celebrates the music of Ennio Morricone, blending it with themes of wine and cinema. Initiated in 2022, it evolved into unique events like "Barolo, music and theatre," exploring the history of Barolo wine through music and prose. Performances feature the Venice Dreams Ensemble, with iconic pieces like "Il vino e l’uva" and medleys from Spaghetti Westerns and Love Themes. The project captures Morricone's genius, harmonizing storytelling, music, and culture in an unforgettable experience.

"Omaggio a Morricone" was born in 2022 as a stand-alone programme for the Teatro Verdi in Padua and the Teatro Comunale in Treviso. It then developed as a show linked to the promotion of Heroic Wines: 'DiVinoInCanto: Vini da Terre Estreme, Omaggio a Morricone', a project conceived together with Alvaro De Anna, promoter of the event. The show, with prose by actor Fabio Sartori, landed at the Teatro Nuovo in Verona, the Gervasio auditorium in Matera and the Fondazione Cassamarca auditorium in Treviso. In December 2023 a CD was produced with the complete version of the concert.
In 2024, the new project 'Barolo, music and theatre' was born. The consortium 'La Strada del Barolo e grandi vini di Langa' (The Road of Barolo and Great Wines of Langa) and the Accademia Theatre in Conegliano and the Ristori Theatre in Verona, present an exclusive event, an emotional journey that, on the notes of Maestro Morricone, recounts the history and future of Barolo, in collaboration with actor Giorgio Lupano.

Love Themes is a medley of the most beautiful love themes written by the Maestro for different films, demonstrating his extraordinary ability to harmonise scenes with the music, making both unforgettable.
